There are so few good boy names already, why must the girls take them all?

I mean there are thousands of excellent girl names; however, the boy name options already seem limited. So why must we turn the few boy names into girl names? There are so few good boy names already, why must the girls take them all?
I completely agree. Two close friends of mine just named their little girls Drake Elizabeth and Ryan Nicole. Honestly? What girl on this planet would feel pretty having a name like Ryan? And then when they get married and their husband refers to them everyone will say "oh, ryan? is that your son/brother/etc?" I feel bad for any child who is stuck with a parent too focused on being "trendy" to give their daughter a beautiful name they can grow up with. I think all mothers and fathers should resolve to name their little girls something pretty and feminine. Especially so us moms pregnant with little boys don't have to resort to the standard michael, john, and robert for our children.
I know! It is quite annoying. But a lot of people are re-claiming boys names whether they have been used for girls or not. You have to read these two blogs just posted today about this!

That's what happened to me and my love for the name Brody. Now, silly parents are naming their daughters Brody, but, spelling it Brodie or any other weird naming concoctions people can come up with.

These people are naming their daughters Aidan, Carter, Hunter, Parker, Skyler etc. If I named my son Emily, I doubt that would go down too well !

ADD - There was a girl who went to my school named Levi .... LEVI !!! That name is tainted for me too !There are so few good boy names already, why must the girls take them all?
I know, I can't stand it either. There are some names that are just so awesome for boys, but then people start using them on girls, and they just seem too girly to give to a boy.

I mean, seriously, spelling Aidan as Aidyn does not make it a girl name..
I agree to an extent.

I hate seeing little girls named Dylan, Caden, Landon and Logan.... those are such BOY names!

But I do like the name Taylor more for a girl, same with the name Casey. Both of those are unisex.
Yeah, I know, it sucks. Everyone wants a boy name for their little girls because it's 'cute' and 'unique'. Ugh.
its ridiculous i mean come on lesley nd whitney for a guy name!? nd then i've heard of jerry, logan, nd chris as girl names. it weird
I agree. It's ridiculous
Some one asked if they could use Austin as a girl's name a few minutes ago.

I nearly cried.
You must have a bad obsession with this. How many times have you posted about this?
