Why do ppl insist on using boy names for their girls?

I am having a boy and so many good names have been taken by girls now. Stop stealing the boy's names! Why do ppl insist on using boy names for their girls?
I know.. They think it's creative. To me names like Spencer and Riley are only for boys, no matter how you spell it.
I wonder why people care what other people name their baby? It really is a very personal choice.

So what if a girl has a boy name or a boy has a girl name. Names like Courtney and Ashley were originally boy names but you won't hear anyone throwing a fit about someone naming their girl either of those. There really isn't any reason why any name can't be used for either a boy or girl. My daughter goes to school with many children, boys and girls that are named Riley, Regan, Blake, Ty etc. The kids don't care, most actually think its cool that they have the same name as the opposite sex. So if you think you're going to do your child some emotional damage because you have chosen a name that is traditionally male or female, you are horribly wrong. Name your baby something you love, don't listen to society. Why do ppl insist on using boy names for their girls?
Yeah, I myself would hate to have a boy's name, even if it was used on girls a lot. I don't really get it, if would work if they turned out to be a tomboy, but if not, they may hate it. I don't see any reason not to just use a girl name. Two of my top three boy names are being used on girls a lot now (Elliot and Cameron) and I've heard some crazy ones like Andrew and Danny on girls. Why do ppl insist on using boy names for their girls?
I can't believe so many people on YA answers have such a sook about this.

I named my daughter Blaise and I don't give a dam what other people think. My husband loves her name, I love her name and my 11 year old daughter LOVES her name.

She is my first daughter after 7 boys and even that did not make me want to give her a "frilly" name. She is extremely feminine and has never been teased about her name.

GET OVER IT!!!!!!!!!!
I don't see how taking a boy name for a girl is considered stealing. If you're having a boy, don't hesitate to use a "boy name".
Some are actually unisex. The others are just plain cruel for a girl and are definitely BOY names.
I don't understand that. Maybe they can't accept the fact that they had a girl and Not a boy.But there should be plenty of good names out there I am sure you can find one that hasn't been stolen by the girls. I think the main issue is being a girl with a boy name or vice versa.
